List of prohibited items

Please note the additional restrictions for delivery by Russian Post and EMS courier services, if you plan to use the specified methods.

The following categories of goods are prohibited for shipment by all delivery methods offered by the service https://shopotam.com/:

  1. Firearms and cold weapons of any kind and modifications (including folding/spring knives, knives with blades longer than 9 cm, axes), their components or spare parts, as well as ammunition (including night vision devices, thermal imagers, and sights), as well as equipment for making bullets, reloading, etc.
  2. Products that are structurally similar to civilian and service weapons (including paintball/strikeball pistols, markers, etc. and their parts or accessories); stun guns, gas/traumatic pistols, pepper sprays, gas canisters, batons, brass knuckles, handcuffs, ceramic knives, etc.
  3. Bows, crossbows, and their parts are also prohibited; swords (including training ones), katanas, sabers, rapiers, machetes.
  4. Military equipment and camouflage clothing (including helmets, helmets, etc.), as well as civilian clothing of camouflage color, tactical backpacks, military boots, and all similar dual-purpose products.
  5. Radioactive and/or toxic materials, any reagents, and chemical compounds.
  6. Perfumes, flammable substances, and liquids (including lighter refills, solvents, zinc powder, acetone, nail polishes, enamels, glues, etc.). Any liquids with a total volume of more than 1 liter. Alcohol-containing liquids in any volumes.
  7. Explosive objects (including under pressure, for example, airbags, fire extinguishers, scuba tanks, etc.).
  8. Substances that destroy the ozone layer and pollute the environment (any aerosols and sprays, disinfectants, automotive oils (except synthetic motor oils), used tires; dry ice; pesticides, herbicides, insecticides; household, medical, and any other garbage).
  9. Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, including in the form of medicines; tablets, pills, and other medicines. Any medicines regulated by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), both prescription and over-the-counter (OTC).
  10. All types of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products or smoking mixtures, as well as hookahs (Tobacco smoking devices, including electronic cigarettes, vapes, and vaporizers, their components, and bongs are not eligible for shipment from the USA. Shipping vapes from Germany is permitted)
  11. Infected and pathogenic substances/objects.

 

  1. Live animals; plants in any form and condition (or parts of plants), including their seeds. Fossilized animals and objects made from them (ivory, horns, feathers, etc.).
  2. Perishable goods and food products, as well as goods made from sanctioned agricultural products.
  3. Items prohibited for international trade by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), such as stuffed animals, skins, bones, tusks of rare animals.
  4. Human organs and/or tissues, blood and its components, human and animal embryos, human remains (including exhumed or cremated).
  5. Dangerous/used batteries: lead-acid, alkaline (including automotive batteries), damaged batteries of any type, and used alkaline, nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH), or nickel-cadmium (NiCd) batteries. Batteries outside of devices are prohibited from being shipped by Russian Post and Courier EMS. In one shipment, batteries with power not exceeding 100 watts each and their total weight should not exceed 5 kg can be sent.
  6. Ores or pure metals (precious and non-precious), pearls, as well as precious stones in any form.
  7. Cultural values/art objects requiring mandatory certification.
  8. Banknotes and coins, including collectibles that are currently accepted as payment; as well as other financial obligations (bills of exchange, shares, bonds, gift cards, etc.)
  9. Information of a pornographic nature on print, audiovisual, and other information carriers.
  10. Information on print, audiovisual, and other information carriers aimed at propagating Nazi attributes or symbolism; attributes or symbolism similar to Nazi attributes or symbolism to the point of confusion.
  11. Electronic devices that can be classified as industrial/defense-related (e.g., toughbooks or tablets with reinforced casing), as well as electronic instruments and components used for military, commercial, and other non-civilian purposes, and dual-use goods.
  12. Radio-controlled devices equipped with a camera; quadcopters or radio-controlled helicopters.
  13. Medical equipment, furniture, and instruments, excluding syringes, needles, catheters, cannulas, similar instruments, equipment for measuring blood pressure and temperature (prohibited for import into the territory of the Russian Federation as non-personal use goods subject to mandatory certification). Professional medical equipment is not accepted for shipping if a medical license or physician's permission is required for its import/export. The description of many such products will include (but not necessarily!) "RX Only" or "US Law Restricts the Sale of this Device For or On the Order of a Physician."
  14. Some goods, their parts, and accessories related to special designs are prohibited from export.

For example:

  1. Testing and laboratory equipment (signal analyzers and similar products).
  2. Machinery, mechanisms, equipment classified under positions 8403 10, 8416, 8417, 8420, 8421, 8425 - 8430, 8433 - 8443, 8444 00 - 8449 00 000 0, 8453 - 8464, from 8465, 8466, 8468, 8469 00, 8474 - 8481, 8486, 8487, 8514, 8515, 8530, 8534 00, 8535, 8545, 8548, 9024, 9027, 9030, and 9031 of the Common Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union (excluding lawnmowers for lawns, parks or sports grounds, household disc saws);
  3. Barber chairs and similar chairs (used in commercial activities/not for personal use), and their parts;
  4. Equipment and devices for photolaboratories, classified under tariff position 9010 of the Common Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union;
  5. Instruments, apparatus, and models designed for demonstration purposes, classified under tariff position 9023 00 of the Common Customs Tariff of the Eurasian Economic Union;
  6. Coin-operated games, billiard tables, bank card-operated games, chips, or other similar means of payment;
  7. Any SIM cards;
  8. Road signs and license plates;
  9. Any food products are prohibited from being sent via Russian Post and EMS Courier delivery methods.
  10. Jewelry and costume jewelry:
  11. From the USA to Russia, regardless of the material and/or value of the item, they are prohibited from being shipped. From Germany to Russia, items valued over €300 per unit are prohibited from being shipped.
  12. Restrictions on the cost of goods delivery to Russia:

Shipping the following goods from the USA to Russia, as well as to individuals who are subject to sanctions, regardless of their location, is prohibited:

  1. Other goods prohibited from shipping in accordance with the acts of the Universal Postal Union and customs legislation of the country of origin/destination (including current sanction lists of the USA and the EU).
